Our Story

It started on a dog walk in Richmond.

Two Dans, Two Dogs

Whiskey and Toffee, our dogs, were the catalyst. As we walked the paths along the Thames, a familiar conversation kept coming up.

The Struggle to Fit

Despite intelligence, insight, and motivation, Dan (Burke) had struggled — for years — to find a therapist he actually connected with.

Not because the therapists weren’t qualified. Not because therapy “didn’t work.” But because the alignment was wrong.

"Some were too abstract. Some too unstructured. Some too rigid. Some just didn't understand how my mind worked."

Eventually, like many people, he stopped trying. As we talked, it became clear this wasn’t a personal failure — it was a systemic problem.

People are matched to therapists based on availability, location, or cost — but rarely on how they think, relate, process emotion, or receive help.

So we asked a simple question:

"What if people were matched to therapists the way we intuitively choose meaningful relationships — based on compatibility, values, and communication style?"

That question became this app.

Built at the intersection of lived experience, psychotherapy, neurodiversity, and technology, our platform is designed to help people find a therapist they don’t just see — but feel understood by.

"Because when the connection is right, therapy doesn't feel like forcing yourself into someone else's framework."

It feels like being met where you already are.
