Therapist & counselling jobs in Oxford
attune is looking for UK-registered therapists, counsellors and psychotherapists to work with clients in Oxford. It’s self-employed, associate-style work: you set your own rates and hours, work online or in person, and we match you with better-fit clients and handle the admin.
Flat 15% per completed session · no monthly or setup fees · every application reviewed by hand.
Work online with clients in Oxford
Most attune therapists work online over end-to-end encrypted video, so you can build a caseload of clients in Oxford and across Englandwithout a commute or clinic overheads. Set your own availability and see clients from wherever suits you.
In-person too, if you offer it
attune is a matching platform, not a clinic, so any in-person work happens at your own practice in Oxford. Add your practice location during onboarding and clients who want to meet in person can find you.
A verified, UK-registered network
Every practitioner is checked against their professional register (HCPC, BACP, UKCP, NCPS, BPS, BABCP, BPC, HGI, ADMP UK) and must hold current professional indemnity insurance before their profile goes live.

Common questions
Is this employed or self-employed work?
It is self-employed, associate-style work. You remain an independent practitioner: you set your own rates, hours, caseload and boundaries. attune connects you with well-matched clients and handles payments, scheduling and admin, it is not a salaried post.
How much does it cost, and how do I get paid?
There are no upfront or monthly fees. You set your session rate and attune takes a flat 15% per completed session. You are paid out 48 hours after each session via managed Stripe payments, with a monthly, tax-ready statement.
Which professional registers do you accept?
We verify every applicant against their professional register before their profile goes live. We currently accept HCPC, BACP, UKCP, NCPS, BPS, BABCP, BPC, HGI, ADMP UK, and review other recognised UK bodies case by case.
Do I need a DBS check?
Not for adult private practice, it is optional. Current professional indemnity insurance is required for every practitioner. If you already hold an enhanced DBS, you can add it and it is shown to clients who value it.
Can I work fully remotely?
Yes. Most attune therapists work online over encrypted video, so you can see clients from anywhere in the UK. You can also offer in-person sessions at your own practice if you choose to.
How long does approval take?
We review every complete application by hand, so timings vary, we are working through a high volume of applications at the moment and will get back to you as soon as we can, either with a private invitation or a note asking for any extra detail. When you accept an invitation you sign the freelance agreement, then complete onboarding.
