Therapy works when you can be honest. That requires safety - of who you’re talking to, of what they say they are, and of what happens to the words you share. Here is exactly what we do, in plain English.
Therapist verification
Every therapist on attune is verified against their professional register before they go live, and a member of our team manually approves each one. We monitor registration renewal, DBS, and insurance expiry dates daily and automatically remove a therapist from matches the day a fatal credential lapses. For HCPC-registered therapists we additionally re-check the live register weekly. We accept HCPC, BACP, UKCP, NCPS, BPS, BABCP, BPC, HGI.
How we verify our therapists
When you see the verified mark next to a therapist’s name, it means they have passed every check below. We do this before a profile ever appears in your matches, and we keep checking for as long as they practise on .
